Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Well, today Microsoft released Vista Service Pack 1. Does this mean that I'm ready to upgrade to Vista yet? Probably not. With what happened last time they released Vista SP1, I'm a little leery of jumping the gun and upgrading(?) to Vista. Sure, Vista looks great...all nice and shiny, but what I really care about is how it performs. I couldn't care less about the new Aero interface or how menus fade in or out. I really care about how much memory the OS hogs and how good it is at context switching between programs. I care about system responsiveness, not aesthetics. For now, I'm going to wait a bit and see how this service pack is received.
